São Paulo

SÆo Paulo is the largest city in Brazil and the 7th largest metropolitan area in the world. It is the economic powerhouse of Brazil and is home to the stock exchange. "Paulistas" are cosmopolitan, proud of their city, which is known as "Sampa." SÆo Paulo is the 10th richest city in the world and luxury can be found throughout the city. The city is known for its high-end shopping, hosts some of the tallest buildings in the world, its club scene and culinary scene. There is an abundance of high-rise buildings with personal swimming pools, sports complexes, and a full staff. SÆo Paulo is famous for its restaurant scene, hosting more restaurants than NYC.

Rio de Janeiro

Rio is the city of dreams, mystique and escape known as "The Marvelous City." It is where nature's splendor meets human appetite. Rio is famous for Carnaval, samba, Bossa Nova, beautiful beaches and beautiful people. The most famous postcards from Rio are Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado Mountain and the Sugarloaf Mountain. It is home to the largest samba parades and one of the world's largest football stadiums. While always a popular destination, Rio gained its fame as a party-going beach haven in the 1930's when Copacabana Palace Hotel was the definition of luxury for Europeans and Americans. A destination that can overwhelm the senses, Rio is for everyone!

Brasília

Bras¡lia is the National capital. The entire city is a UNESCO heritage site because of its unique architecture by Oscar Niemeyer. It a planned city, and was specifically designed to be the capital of Brazil. In the late 1950's, President Juscelino Kubitschek's vision to turn a formerly deserted area in central Brazil to the capital was successful. He invited the world's most famous architects to dream up a city, which was built in only four years. The capital was officially moved from Rio to Bras¡lia in 1960 and has continued to thrive ever since.
